In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I fell asleep on a blanket at a Bruce Springsteen concert when I was four. I think the sound waves of "Ghost of Tom Joad" penetrated my unconscious mind. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. This song is a lullaby about sexual violence. The album Dollface is all about contradictions. I felt compelled to make something beautiful out of one of the worst experiences of my life. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I went on tour with my friend Eliza McLamb. Her fans are dedicated andkind, and playing to a sold out room of 600 in Boston was life-changing. To the fans who showed me their tattoos of my lyrics or brought me gifts, I'll never stop saying thank you. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to keep making records with people I love, and seeing the world, and playing my songs to people who love them.
