In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was around five, strapped to my car seat, listening to Martina McBride’s “Concrete Angel” for the 1,000th time. The meaning of lyrics hit me suddenly and I cried and cried. It was the first time I can remember music making me FEEL something deeply. Tell us why you chose this song. “Are You Okay?” With Mental Health Awareness month just around the corner, I wanted to highlight this release again. It was written as a letter to myself as a way to slow down to-do list and check in on my heart. I hope you listen and reflect: are YOU okay? What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I could give macro examples all day (UK tour, big stages, etc), but a stand-out moment to me was meeting a fan post-show who had just recently lost her father after they bonded over "Shoes To Fill". My "why" has never felt more clear than that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? SO many things left on my musical bucket list.. I want to be invited to step into the circle at the Grand Ole Opry, tour in Australia, play Red Rocks.. I could keep listing things all day!
