About H3ro

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Going to the studio with my mom when she was working on a demo tape. I remember her coming out and listening to her tape and hearing her voice on that CD resonated with me. She passed her passion to me! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kanye West, Late Registration Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor Food and Liquor hit me at a time where I was just discovering my passion for being an artist. Lupe taught me early on it was ok to be myself and not have to fake a hip hop persona. Grew up on the Miseducation and 2005 Kanye was Powerful. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Play the Ocarina (feat. XV & Katera)” This song is the epitome of what younger me only dreamed I'd become. The full circle of growing up and being influenced by XV's "Zero Heroes" and then him featuring on this song and going bar for bar? My inner nerd was on cloud 9 the whole year. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for Mobb Deep in 2016 and being in a green room for the first time--not savoring the moment but being backstage hearing "Shook Ones" performed to a rawkus hip-hop crowd. Taking that moment for granted knowing Prodigy died the following year. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Working with more of my hip hop idols. Touring Overseas. Making a top 100 list of greatest emcees of all time. (Thats a lot of talent that got to move over and make way for H3RO.)
