Italy's Gory Blister specializes in punitive old-school technical death metal. Emerging in the early '90s, the band found regional success before infiltrating the European underground in 2002 with the release of their full-length debut, Art Bleeds. Subsequent efforts, Graveyard of Angels (2009), The Fifth Fury (2014), and Reborn from Hatred (2023), saw the band add melodic and groove aspects to their sound while retaining much of the uncompromising death metal architecture present at their inception.
