Go Ahead And Die

Go Ahead and Die is a punk-fueled death metal family project featuring heavy metal legend Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Killer Be Killed), his son vocalist, guitarist, and bassist Igor Amadeus Cavalera, and drummer Zach Coleman (Khemmis). Inspired by a shared love for extreme metal giants like Discharge, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, and Napalm Death, the group combined elements of grindcore, thrash, crossover, death metal, and old-school hardcore punk on their eponymous 2021 debut, which was released by Nuclear Blast. The band tackled themes of depression, anger, suicide, and violence on their uncompromising sophomore effort, 2023's Unhealthy Mechanisms.
