In High school before I ever owned an electric guitar or bass I 'found' a Fender Amp and recorded feedback and voice through a process of using two boomboxes. Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, No Pussyfooting Medicine, The Buried Life Siouxsie & The Banshees, Kiss in the Dreamhouse Explorations of the psychedelic, surrealist situations. Pop music can be independent and glamorous. The use of dérive is clear in these albums where unplanned journey allows the listener to stop focusing on their everyday social environment.
