About Frank Jonen

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music school, I was around five or six years old. Concert for the parents to show what they paid for. My friend got the heebie jeebies, couldn’t play. I rushed through my part, then his part, causing the dean to facepalm and chuckle. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Klaus Doldinger, Die Unendliche Geschichte (Original Soundtrack) Michael Jackson, Dangerous (Remastered) [Extra Tracks] Various Artists, Ghostbusters (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) “Black And White” had something to it that still takes me back today. “Ghostbusters” and “Hot Night” were on most of my mixtapes at the time. Doldinger’s original score for The Neverending Story showed me that you can tell a story without words. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Night We Almost Had It All” My first own release on Apple Music. It tells the story of the uncertain moments we all face at one time or another. A cinematic setting without pictures. A distant saxophone moves through a soundscape like thoughts, memories through the night. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Right now I would say “Finally starting to publish my own work.” Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Scoring my own cinematic video game is pretty high on the list.
