About Florrie

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time I saw a drum kit I was 5 years old and on holiday with my dad. We went to the same restaurant every night to watch this band play, and I sat on a brick next to the drummer and was transfixed. That christmas I got my first drum kit.... What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fleetwood Mac, Rumours Super Deluxe Edition John Mayer, Continuum Spice Girls, Spice SPICE changed my life. They inspired me to play drums and be a bad ass 😎 Rumours taught me how to write great songs, and how to tell meaningful stories. Continuum was my teenage soundtrack to life. 17 and going it alone in the world. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Borderline” This is special because it was the song that got me back into making music after a low point in my career. I'd just been dropped from my label and felt awful, but Borderline got a sync on a finale of Greys Anatomy, and I started writing again... What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've just finished my debut album so getting the final mix back of the record was a MOMENT. So much love and time went into it, and I am really proud of myself for getting to this point after almost giving it all up. Its definitely been a wild ride! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? US tour, drum with Nile Rogers, write with Julia Michaels, make a record with Max Martin, make lots of money for charity, set up a scheme that connects elderly people and nursery kids through music, sing with a gospel choir, collab with NASA ✌🏼
