In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started music on flute at 7 years old. I used to compete in Eisteddfods. I distinctly remember one such performance where I accidentally slipped the mouthpiece toward me. Instead of stopping, I played the entire piece, fingers flying, ZERO sound. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bethany Dillon, Bethany Dillon JJ Heller, I Dream of You When I was 17 and first started writing music I listened to Bethany Dillon and Brooke Fraser on repeat. I loved the riffs, the layers, gorgeous melodies that pointed me to Jesus. As a wife and a Mum I have found JJ Heller's music encourages my soul. Tell us why you chose this song. “Yours” It was the song that was never even meant to be on the album, we picked it last minute- and it ended up being my favourite. The riff in it by Jess Grommet on the guitar is just so beautiful, it grabs me every time. A song of confession & restoration. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The joy of going to Nashville, meeting Cody Norris (he mastered my album but had been my initial contact to record with) & working with fabulous producer Erich Sandersfeld. It was a dream God had ignited so many years before & now was fulfilling. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am looking forward to recording a country 'story songs' album later in 2023 (it is already underway in Nashville). I would love to tour both Australia (& if God wills it) the U.S. I also have written a heap of singles & would love to record them.
