About Faithless
With music that's both atmospheric and exhilarating, Faithless helped fuel rave music's rise from underground clubs and warehouse parties to the upper reaches of the UK charts and into Britain's biggest venues. All three of the group's founders—Rollo Armstrong, Sister Bliss, and Maxi Jazz—had deep roots in the dance-music scene as producers, DJs, and performers before forming Faithless in London in 1995. Thanks to Maxi Jazz's calm and commanding vocals and the group's cinematic yet propulsive fusion of electronic, house, and trip-hop, tracks like 1995's "Insomnia" and 1998's "God Is a DJ" became worldwide hits. Whereas many of their peers excelled primarily with singles, Faithless made full use of available space on headphone-friendly albums such as 2001's Outrospective. On 2020's All Blessed—their first album in 10 years and first after Maxi Jazz retired from the group—Faithless continue to expand on their ambitions while retaining the unruly energy that first inspired them.
