In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our very first show was circa 2003 at the Lava Lounge in Hollywood, CA. We played Alone, Shoreline and My Father from our debut EP. Heather played the dulcimer on Alone for the very first time at that show. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aimee Mann, Magnolia (Music from the Motion Picture) Nico, The Velvet Underground, The Velvet Underground & Nico (45th Anniversary Edition) my bloody valentine, Loveless When Esquimaux formed, these 3 albums were on heavy rotation in our hearts and minds. Tell us why you chose this song. “All Winter Long” This is a great example of a song that merged so many of our musical interests and styles at that time, and that was a complete collaboration with each of us equally contributing ideas in the songwriting process. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording our Tiger EP with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago. He was so open and accommodating to us and our family. He shared so many great stories about Nirvana etc and taught us how to make his favorite drink called the Fluffy Coffee. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? At some point it would be great to work together again and perform live.
