Dan Auerbach, Waiting on a Song Girls, Father, Son, Holy Ghost (Bonus Track Version) The Strokes, Comedown Machine The writing! Waiting on a song is just brilliant, it took me away from Black Keys and showed me another side to Auerbach. Girls is one of my all-time favorites. They are brilliant songwriters. Tell us why you chose this song. “Just to Feel Whole” This song landed me my first record deal. It also meant a great deal to me, writing-wise. This track is the oldest song that I still keep in my live performance set-list. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being able to work with Eric Gales. When I began my music career, he was the first guitarist I saw who really set the tone for where I wanted to be. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, I want to do it all and then wake up and do it all again!
