About Eli Deyoe

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is when I was in 7th grade busking in my hometown of Berkeley, and a small group of my friends from school showed up and stayed for 5 or 6 songs. They had errands to run, but they put it all on hold to support me! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, Blonde Gorillaz, Plastic Beach Deluxe Version Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version) Blonde: it's absolutely beautiful and tells stunning stories about love. Plastic Beach: has some unforgettable features and an eerie/spacey vibe that I love. Good Kid Maad City: love the incredible story telling, compelling beats, overarching themes. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “End of the Road” I really believe in the power of this song because it has some of the grandest production on my new album. Every artist who contributed to this track brought something really special to the studio that makes this song feel transcendent. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment in my career so far was when I played a packed frat show for Phi Psi. The crowd had so much energy and my band I absolutely rocked the stage. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One bucket list item for me as an artist is to play a packed show at a more famous LA public venue like the Troubadour. Another would be to get a couple of my favorite artists to work with me in the studio.
