In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember the first time I started just playing my own music on the keyboard. I was around 8 years old at the time. It wasn't anything crazy, but playing what I felt instead of what was written on sheet music was a big step for me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daft Punk, Discovery Toro y Moi, Anything in Return Washed Out, Life of Leisure - EP I particularly love the synth solo at the end of Digital Love in Discovery. I know it by heart. In the early 2010's, I was influenced by the chillwave movement, & Toro y Moi & Washed Out are two of the best of that genre. Such awesome, spacey sounds. Hayden Corwin) [Bonus Track]” This was the first track I finished after moving away from home to go to college. It was a short but sweet song I created with my good friend Hayden Corwin and it helped me realize that it was indeed possible to collaborate musically through email. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing one of my own original songs (Hello) live for the first time! It was right after college in Dallas, TX, and it was my first time singing live onstage. I remember being nervous before it but fortunately, it all sounded great. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just moved to Portland, OR and I'm loving it so far. I'd love to start playing shows around here soon!
