About Elaine Lachica

Elaine Lachica was born in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the choir director and organist of the Baltimore Basilica. She first showed an interest in music at the age of three, singing and playing piano and violin. She was a voice student at the Peabody Conservatory of Music and the Royal College of Music in London. In addition to performing as a soprano soloist with the New York Collegium, Waverly Consort, and Rebel Baroque Orchestra, she turned to popular music and self-released her first two albums, 9 (2002) and Apolune (2005). She was signed to the Stunning Models on Display label for her third album, I Think I Can See the Ocean, released on February 23, 2010. ~ William Ruhlmann
