About Ekaterina Antonenko

A leading Russian choral conductor, Ekaterina Antonenko directs Moscow's Intrada Vocal Ensemble and has toured with that group in the West as well as in Russia. She is also a prominent educator. Antonenko earned a musicology PhD in 2013 with a thesis on the influence of composer Baldassare Galuppi on Russian church music. She is the author of several other academic publications on choral music. Antonenko founded Intrada Vocal Ensemble in 2006 and built it into an ensemble that has been in demand for concerts in Moscow, around Russia, and beyond. Antonenko conducted the PaTRAM Institute Male Choir on tour in Israel. With that group, she made her recording debut in 2024, leading a performance of Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil in a new all-male arrangement. Antonenko has been on the faculty at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory since 2012.
