About Eater

In many ways exactly what punk was supposed to be about, Eater were a schoolboy quartet that “formed a band” without an instrument to their name. With ages ranging from 13 to 17, they figured it was the best way to get girls’ attention. Upon coming up with their Marc Bolan-inspired moniker and speeding up some Velvet Underground songs, Eater were off and running. Their brief career saw them share a stage with the likes of the Damned and the Buzzcocks, and their snotty, hyperactive songs about school and sex earned them a place in the hearts of restless teens everywhere.
