In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Shoutout to Mom Radio! I don't have any memories without music thanks to my mum and her love of The Beatles, power ballads, and 80s pop rock. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Beaches, Blame My Ex The Strokes, Room On Fire The Thermals, Desperate Ground I learned to play guitar listening to the Strokes' Room on Fire I'm not sure I'd even be in a band. Plus two near-perfect albums: The Thermals' punk rock opera Desperate Ground and my newest forever favourite record from the Beaches, Blame My Ex. Tell us why you chose this song. “For the Cats” For the Cats dates back to 2019, written on trains and planes back to London from a blur of business trips all over. When you’re away more than you’re home, it’s hard on everyone. I wrote this song as a way to help keep it together. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It's a tie between our first show in Toronto and Hutch Harris from The Thermals covering For The Cats. Impossible to choose between the most raucous, most full, most fun show ever and an acoustic version of my song from one of my favourite musicians. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It's a long list! But right at the top is opening for one of my favourite bands. The chance to play in a proper venue supporting some incredibles like The Beaches, Bleachers, The Strokes - now that would be amazing.
