About Dumb Numbers
The musical vehicle for longtime videographer turned singer/songwriter Adam Harding, Dumb Numbers make sludgy, expansive indie rock. A native of Australia, Harding spent many years in Los Angles where he directed videos for such bands as Sebadoh and Warpaint. However, after collaborating with Sebadoh's Lou Barlow on music for a deleted scene on the DVD release of director John Waters' Cry Baby (music that ultimately went unused), Harding was inspired to continue writing and recording. Working with a handful of Los Angeles-based musicians including Barlow, Dinosaur Jr. drummer Murph, Dead River-guitarist Bonnie Mercer, Melvins drummer Dale Crover, and others, Harding crafted Dumb Numbers' idiosyncratic mix of moody, guitar-based music that touches upon distorted noise, stoner metal, shoegaze, and other styles of rock. In 2013, Dumb Numbers released their debut full-length, self-titled album on Joyful Noise Recordings. ~ Matt Collar
