Dub Trio

About Dub Trio

The members of Brooklyn three-piece Dub Trio are top-shelf session musicians whose respective resumes include working with the Fugees, Macy Gray, Mos Def, Tupac Shakur, and Common, among others. Their respective chops also help explain the range and versatility of Dub Trio’s music, which features elements of electronica and heavy metal mixed with dub and Jamaican roots music. EXPLORING THE DANGERS OF, the group’s debut, arrived in 2004. This was followed by NEW HEAVY (2006), which featured an appearance by experimental vocalist Mike Patton on the track “Not Alone,” an exception to the band’s largely instrumental template. Dub Trio replicate their spacey, dubby sound live with an intricate network of delay pedals and loops.
