About Drug Free America
Atmospheric Leeds, Yorkshire-based techno group who originally worked in a more funk-orientated vein for Blind Eye (‘Throw A Crazy Shape’, ‘Day-Glo Pussycat’, ‘Heaven Ain’t High Enough’) and Concrete Productions (‘Just Like Daddy’s Gun’) between 1988 and 1990. Afterwards the group: Brian Moss and Steve Dixon, split to travel around the globe. They reunited in 1991, along with female vocalist Goochie, and signed to York’s Cybersound label, releasing ‘Can You Feel’ and ‘Loud Everybody’. Moss had formerly worked with Soft Cell on their debut album and was also a member of the heavily experimental Vicious Pink.
