About Dre Anders
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was being a little girl in Sweden, finding a Mahalia Jackson album in my dad's collection, right next to ABBA--and loving them both! That was probably what led to my eclectic music taste today. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sos” When I was little, I thought SOS was a ditty...nothing deep. When I got older, I found out that when ABBA wrote this, both couples were going through divorces. Changed my perspective--so I reinterpreted the song to show the pain and the sorrow. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? First time I was asked to lead the Gospel set at DelFest--original artist fell through. On bass was none other than Oteil Burbridge of Allman Brothers and Dead & Co fame--looking to me for direction--what?!? Let's just say that Gospel set grooved.😁
