About DONNY ARCADE
Over booming, trap-styled beats, Atlanta-based rapper and producer Donny Arcade has woven themes of science fiction and ancient history into a body of underground work that includes the albums We Are Not Alone (2016) and Return of Enki (2018). The artist otherwise known as Don Johnson came up in a series of groups in his native Ohio and had his head turned when he heard the rapid and melodic style developed by fellow Clevelanders Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Rather than stick around the Midwest, Arcade opted to set up in Atlanta, Georgia, where he established himself as a solo artist and added connections as a video director and frequent studio collaborator. After he signed with Pantheon Elite, a label operated by fellow recording artist 4biddenknowledge, Arcade completed We Are Not Alone, a 2016 album that included multiple appearances from Layzie Bone. After the intermediary release Go See the World: Prequel to Enki, Arcade followed up in 2018 with second proper album Return of Enki, which registered on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Album Sales chart.
