About Dominic Muldowney

b. 19 July 1952, Southampton, Hampshire, England. This highly talented composer has amassed a formidable list of accomplishments over the past decade for films, television and theatre. He is now Director of Music at the Royal National Theatre, London. His television and film credits include, Betrayal, The Ploughman’s Lunch, Loose Connections, The Big H, Bedroom Farce, Only Yesterday, 1984, Singleton’s Pluck, The Beggar’s Opera, Defence Of The Realm, The Act, The Burston Rebellion, The Blasphemer’s Banquet, Baal, The Ginger Tree, Available Light, The Black Candle, Growing Rich and Sharpe. His series of classical concerto’s for violin, saxophone, percussion, oboe and piano have been performed by some of the UK’s major orchestras, yet he is equally at home composing popular music for artists such as Sting and David Bowie. Muldowney also performs as a pianist and conductor and has done much to bridge classical and popular music in contemporary film and drama.
