About Dev

Los Angeles rapper, singer, and songwriter Dev makes hip-hop-influenced and dance-oriented electronic pop music based around her cool vocal delivery. A cover of Amy Winehouse's "Blonde Trick" caught the attention of the Cataracs, who helped her sign a management deal with their indie pop label. Dev collaborated with the Cataracs on several tracks, including "Booty Bounce," sampled on Far East Movemen's "Like a G6." A year later, she signed to Universal Republic and released "Bass Down Low," which charted on Billboard's Hot 100. In 2011 she delivered her debut album, the Cataracs-produced The Night the Sun Came Up, and she returned in 2014 with the EP Bittersweet July. After the release of "Lowkey" and "#1," Dev released I Only See You When I'm Dreamin' in 2017. ~ Matt Collar
