About Dennis van Aarssen

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is listening to the Robbie Williams album ‘Swing When You’re Winning’ when I was 7 years old, sitting in the backseat of my parent's car, as we were driving to our holiday destination in Spain. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Sinatra, Nothing But the Best: The Frank Sinatra Collection Jamie Cullum, The Pianoman at Christmas Robbie Williams, Swing When You're Winning 1. Robbie Williams Because of the same reason I described above. It was my introduction to a genre of music that I believe should live on forever and I’d love to play a part in that. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Can't Make This Right” I love it because it sounds like it’s a song that Sinatra or Dean Martin could’ve sang a couple of decades ago, but it’s performed with the freshness and contemporary sound that my band, the producer and myself intended it to have. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was playing a show in New York City’s 54 Below in 2022. To be in the city where all of my musical heroes have so much history and perform with the fantastic big band I got to play with in a sold-out venue made a dream come true. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To tour around the world with my own band and crew, play on every continent, and make people happy all across the globe. That’s at the top of my bucket list.
