In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One night as a young teenager, I couldn't sleep because I could hear music I really liked. It sounded somewhat like late German romanticism. I went to different open windows to try to find where it was coming from, and realised it was in my head. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Murray Perahia, Murray Perahia - Bach Piano Concertos Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Murray Perahia, Murray Perahia plays Bach - The Complete Recordings András Schiff, J.S. Bach: Das wohltemperierte Clavier A miracle for me began with Murray Perahia's recordings of the Bach concertos, English Suites, and Partitas, continuing into András Schiff's recordings of the Well-Tempered Clavier, French Suites, and Goldberg Variations. Tell us why you chose this song. “Aria For My Father (While Walking the Streets of Old Europe Alone at Night)” I cannot choose one song. I love all of my work, and it's always the latest piece I'm working on that I love the most, until it is finished. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was recently selected for the Universal Edition Composition Mentoring Program with composer David Moliner. During the program, I will compose a new piece, which Mr. Moliner will premiere in Vienna at the Musikverein in early 2025. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to keep composing, and have my music heard and played. I have more I want to say, and want to continually express gratitude for J.S. Bach and his music through my own, and for other great classical composers more generally.
