About David Billingsley

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is watching my Grandparents play the upright Spinet piano in our Living Room. The room would go silent and all you'd hear is piano, singing, and hymns. Some of the most beautiful and impactful music making of my life. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? G.A., Tye Tribbett, Playlist: The Very Best of Tye Tribett & G.A. Robert Glasper, Best of Robert Glasper Stokley, Introducing Stokley These are the albums and artists that have impacted me the greatest. Stokley is my Music Boss. And I've been a fan of Robert Glasper since a Bass Player came to My College bragging about how Glasper was the future of Jazz Music. That was 2003. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “In the Name of Jesus (feat. Tonia Hughes Kendrick)” This song has been played more than all of our other songs. It made the best of gospel music list on Pandora and Spotify in 2022. Culminating in over 200,000+ Album Streams. The song is infectious, and you will dance and rejoice before you know it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Taking my kids with me on an International Music Cruise Gig with Stokley. Most kids never see past their own Zip Codes. I've dedicated my life to making sure kids get access to high quality arts experiences and exposures. Thankful to pay it forward. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes! Soooooo many things. I'm just getting started! I have about 35 music products I plan to release to bring about more good and positive change in the World. We have to be the change we want to see in this World. Much more Beauty & Joy to spread.
