In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was born and raised on the California coast north of the Golden Gate, the only child of a sailor and a librarian. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The genesis for this album was the death of a friend in a San Francisco bicycle accident in 2019. The spiritual heart of the record is "Lying in the Lap", a song I wrote for her about the possibility of a Great Love that goes beyond life and death.
