About Dan Bremnes

An award-winning Canadian CCM singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Dan Bremnes was born in Kamloops, British Columbia, and spent his formative years in the small town of Salmon Arm, where his pastor father established Living Waters Community Church. A talented drummer who was as comfortable playing in a club as he was at a church service, Bremnes eventually took up the guitar and began penning his own songs. He released his first album, Your Strength, independently in 2010, and just three years later he took home Covenant Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year, on the strength of the singles "Hear Your Voice" and "After All." He inked a deal with Sparrow the following year and released the full-length Where the Light Is, which earned him a Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. In 2017, he signed with Word Entertainment and a year later issued his third studio album, Wherever I Go, which included the singles "Up Again" and "Going Together." ~ James Christopher Monger
