In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. It would have to be the drums. Growing up in church, I fell in love with music by way of the drums. My first drumset at 4 or 5 years old, was a white pearl kit. My mother would play The Clark Sisters' album, on repeat, and I would play along. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alex Wurman, March of the Penguins (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Kendrick Lamar, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers Kim Burrell, Everlasting Life "Everlasting Life" is one of the few albums I know from beginning to end. I referenced March of the Penguins in college; it also calms me. Lastly, the honesty and transparency Kendrick displayed through this masterpiece have been a huge inspiration. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time my single "Praises Heard" was played on the radio in my hometown. I was getting ready for church, I heard the DJ introduce the song, and chills came over me as the intro played. It was a fantastic feeling. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’ve yet to scratch the surface of what I could accomplish as a writer, musician, producer, and arranger. I would love to collaborate with other artists and help them create timeless inspirational music that will reach the world.
