About Cusan Tân
Combining the talents of vocalist/flute player Ann Morgan Jones and harmony singer Sue Jones Davies, Cusan Tan (translated: Kiss of Fire) have successfully fused the musical traditions of Wales with an eclectic range of contemporary influences. The duo's songs, mostly written by Jones, remain firmly indebted to Welsh folk music, yet radiate with modern sensibilities. A graduate of the Royal Academy, where she studied the flute, Jones established her reputation with dynamic performances at a variety of music festivals. A regular performer on Welsh-language television, Davies is a highly respected actress, having appeared in such films as Jesus Christ Superstar and Monty Python's Life of Brian. Jones and Davies initially met while picking up their children from a school in Aberystwyth. Their mutual love of music inspired them to begin working together. Their recordings have featured triple harp master Robin Huw Bowen. ~ Craig Harris
