About Curt McGurt

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In elementary school I began to gain interest in music. I was in the band, orchestra, and the choir and played 11 different instruments. I primarily played the keys and drums during that time. Although I learned to read music, I mostly played by ear. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Don Toliver, Life of a DON Priya Ragu, Santhosam Travis Scott, ASTROWORLD These albums are just so sonically beautiful! From the way each of their individual voices are, to the production, to the mixing, they all are their own vibes! These albums helped to influence some of my approach as an artist going outside the box. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Journey” This was my first record that I felt actually represented me as the artist that I wanted to be. We all are on our own journey, and I give an insight to the way my mind thinks and how I float through life. I still jam this record today! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When COVID hit in 2020 & we were stuck inside, I challenged myself as an artist and get creative. I had my home studio setup and a camera, so I decided to start a series called March Madness. 31 songs, 31 videos - filmed and recorded all myself! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still have a long way to go as an artist. I want to work with a lot of artists that I look up to. I'd love to work with Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Post Malone, Saint JHN, and others. I love their creativity and I'd love to go on tour with them!
