Crucifer is a death metal band that achieved cult level popularity in the early 90's with their classic albums, 'Festival of Death' and 'Pictures of Heaven'. After a 30 year hiatus, Crucifer has returned with their new album 'Hell Is for the Hopeful' What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Crucifer, Festival of Death Crucifer, Hell Is for the Hopeful Crucifer, Pictures of Heaven "Festival of Death' released in 1991, is Crucifers 'Swan Song'. Brutally fast, raw, and contagiously catchy. In 1993 came the sludgy, grinding, more polished 'Pictures of Heaven'. 'Hell Is for the Hopeful' is the final throat punch for 2024! Groove, catchy riffs, driving bass, rememberable chorus, blast beats, with a bit of horror dialog and industrial overtones. Brian Ronquest adds depth with his haunting lyrics. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After being signed to Wild Rags Records in the early 90's, Crucifer was included on the bill for the Milwaukee Metal Mania Fest 7 in 1993 with Cannibal Corpse, King Diamond, Testament, Clutch, Body Count, Suffocation, Flotsam and Jetsam, and more. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Crucifer was one of the top selling underground bands in the early 90's Through tape trading and Wild Rags Records, Crucifer carved out a name for themselves across the globe. The bands albums continue to sell well as a true testament to their music.
