About Cordy Lavery

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first concert I went to was with my brother Bob and my friend Polly; Queen when A Night at the Opera came out. It was the first show of their US tour, at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, CT. Brian May's guitar was mind-blowing, and Freddie...wow. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Larry Seaman, Death Takes a Holiday Little Feat, Waiting for Columbus (Deluxe Edition) [Live] Tina Turner, Tina Turner: The Platinum Collection My 3 favorites is an ever-evolving mood-dependent set of choices. Blasting "Fat Man in the Bathtub" makes a crummy day better. Larry Seaman's melodies, lyrics and arrangements always inspire me to work harder. Tina? What can you say, it's Tina! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Tree Remembers” It means a lot to me that it means so much to others. It wasn't my intent, I was incredibly frustrated with the politics in the moment, and the bravery of those who were willing to be verbally assaulted and personally attacked for telling the truth. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being asked to play guitar on other peoples' recordings. How many women get to say that? It blows me away every time and makes me work harder to be a better player. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I play with some of the nicest, most talented people...as long as I get to keep doing that, I'm good.
