Beatmaker Michael Cohen goes by the name Cohen Beats. Though the Tel Aviv native has worked with singers and rappers, the majority of his sample-oriented production work is instrumental. Cohen began recording during his late teenage years. He attended Red Bull Music Academy during its 2008 session, where he co-created "Do I Know You?" with Fatima, Cuthead, and Dorian Concept. Digital-download batches of tracks and remixes were issued, including Milk & Honey, Vol. 1, constructed from samples of Israeli music. Collaborations with rapper Jeremiah Jae and singer KerenDun followed respectively in 2014 and 2015. Cohen linked up with Stones Throw for the beat tape Daily Affirmations (2017), featuring appearances from Jae, Denmark Vessey, and Quelle Chris. ~ Andy Kellman
