About Close

When house music DJ, producer, and label boss Will Saul found himself collaborating more with other artists, he considered the music created more "album-oriented" than his usual 12" work and came up with the moniker Close to differentiate the material. Based out of London, Saul was working in Sony's A&R department when, in 2003, he decided to leave to launch the house music label Simple with some friends. With Simple being so 12"-oriented, he signed his Close project to the Studio K7 label in 2012. The debut album, Getting Closer, followed in 2013 and was supported by a European tour with drummer/producer Al Tourettes joining Close's live band. ~ David Jeffries
