In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Either listening to Lonely by Akon in my dad's car on the way to footy training or Elton John's Crocodile Rock in my mum's on my way to kindergarten. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daft Punk, Random Access Memories Gang of Youths, Go Farther in Lightness The Strokes, The New Abnormal Each of these album's were pivotal in defining my love for music. Gang of Youths brought out deep emotion, Daft Punk showed me on a journey of fun and nostalgia which I try to embody in my music, while The Strokes influenced my heavily stylistically. Tell us why you chose this song. “SOLID GOLD” It really defines a shift in really enjoying making and releasing music for me. I don't think I had felty as excited to release a song. It evokes a moment of joy and weight falling of my shoulders amongst the anxiety of being an artist. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working on this forthcoming record with Nathan Hawes has been exciting for me. I've never felt so confident in the music I've been making. Ever. When you feel like you're reaching your artistic potential and the walls fall away, that is very special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So much! I haven't even finished my debut album yet. I I want to play festivals, sell out headline shows in Australia, tour the US and EU, collaborate my artistic heroes. I'm so far from where I want to be, but also so close. It's exciting.
