About Chuck Murphy

An award-winning American singer/songwriter with a deep love of country, folk, and blues, Chuck Murphy spent his formative years soaking up the sounds of James Taylor, Marshall Tucker, the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Charlie Daniels Band. The Palmdale, California-based, Bloomington, Minnesota-raised artist broke into the mainstream in 2015 with the hit single "How Many Times?" Having previously topped the SoundCloud charts, Murphy made the jump to the upper echelons of numerous Billboard charts with his 2016 EP Peace Be with You. In addition to his work as a singer/songwriter, Murphy has written music for independent films, worked as a producer, and led numerous workshops on songwriting and the inner workings of the industry. He also fronts the hard-driving country-rock and blues band Big Coyote. ~ James Christopher Monger
