About Christene LeDoux

Christene LeDoux didn't find her calling as a singer and songwriter until she was nearly 30 years old and picked up a guitar. A self-professed wanderer, she has lived in Alaska, Connecticut, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, London, Stockholm, and Austria, among other places. She has worked a variety of jobs, from fueling airplanes to being a clown, a dog walker, and nanny among them, all of which no doubt helped hone the detailed, narrative flow and emotional presence of her best songs. Blessed with a clear, versatile voice, she became a troubadour in the truest sense, traveling and sharing her music in clubs, at festivals, and at workshops in the U.S. and Europe. A self-titled three-song EP was released in 1999, with a five-song EP, Accidently Happy, following in 2000. A full-length, Little Lighthouse, was released early in 2003. A concert set, Live in Freiburg, was next in 2004, and the Mark Hallman-produced Dust 'n' Branches: Songs from a Wanderer appeared in 2008. Tumbleweed, a collection of live tracks, unreleased tracks, and other rarities, was issued in 2009. LeDoux was a finalist three times at the Tucson Folk Festival. She has been featured in Performing Songwriter magazine's Top 10 DIY artists. Also, she has provided tour support for a variety of major-label artists both in America and Europe. ~ Steve Leggett
