Chris Mann

About Chris Mann

A classically trained singer, Christopher Michael ("Chris") Mann came to the public's attention while appearing as a contestant on the second season of NBC's The Voice in 2012. Mann grew up in Wichita, Kansas, graduating from Wichita Southeast High School in 2000, and attended Vanderbilt University, where he graduated from the Blair School of Music with a degree in vocal performance. After a time singing Italian opera in Europe, Mann moved to Los Angeles, where he picked up numerous studio gigs singing for commercials and movie and television soundtracks. He participated in the second season of The Voice in 2012, eventually finishing fourth in the competition, but it was enough to give him a ready fan base. Also in 2012, Mann released a Wal-Mart exclusive EP of Christmas music, as well as his debut solo album, Roads. The following year saw the release of the holiday album Home for Christmas: The Chris Mann Christmas Special, which included his 2012 EP along with selected highlights from a PBS concert performance. In 2015, Mann took on the lead role in the North American touring production of The Phantom of the Opera, and in 2016 he released his sophomore studio outing, Constellation. ~ Steve Leggett
