Chouk Bwa & the Ångströmers is a collaboration between Haitian roots ensemble Chouk Bwa, led by singer and composer Jean Claude "Sambaton" Dorvil, and the duo behind Belgian experimental label Ångström Records. They made their full-length debut with 2020's Vodou Alé, an entrancing, passionate set of polyrhythmic drums and spiritual vocals colored by subtle dub effects and surging electronic bass. After regrouping and performing concerts in Europe, the collective released a second album, Somanti, in 2023.
