In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 12, a friend and I played cello in a park's echo-y dome, oblivious to time. A nearby resident, despite the noise ordinance, allowed us to continue, praising me: "Whatever it is, you got it." This joyous, affirming experience has stayed with me.
