About CDB

Combining R&B and soul with smooth vocal harmonies, CDB became Australia's first successful all-boy band, a la contemporaries such as Boyzone, Boyz II Men, and Past to Present. Forming in 1991, it took three years of live work in Melbourne before the quartet struck a deal with Sony in 1994. Their debut album, Glide With Me, was released in 1995 and produced four national Top 20 hits including the cover of Earth, Wind and Fire's "Let's Groove," which went on to platinum sales (over 70,000) and won Highest Selling Single at the 1996 Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) Awards. Tours of Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Fiji followed where sales were also strong. The groups follow-up album, Lifted, was released in 1997. ~ Brendan Swift
