Carman

About Carman

One of the most successful performers in the history of contemporary Christian music, Carman earned many gold honors for his recordings as well as a platinum award for 1993's The Standard. In the early '90s, he began mounting concerts that drew tens of thousands of worshipers, including over 70,000 in Texas and 80,000 in Tennessee. He also added television host to his list of accomplishments, appearing on the popular program Praise the Lord aired by Trinity Broadcasting Network. Personal tragedy struck in double measure during the 2010s: he was severely injured in a 2011 traffic accident, and in 2013 he was diagnosed with myeloma and told he would live only three to four more years. Carman responded with No Plan B, released in 2014 and one of his highest charting albums. He lived seven more years, eventually succumbing in 2021 after an operation.
