About bryden
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Boxing Day, 2006. I have a £10 HMV voucher and I insist buying my first CD. The Arctic Monkey's 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'. The structural integrity of my ear canal, bedroom walls and my dad's CD Walkman would never be the same. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, Blonde Lil Peep, Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1 The Smiths, Hatful of Hollow Hatful of Hollow guided me through broody teenage angst and got me in my first fight at school (defending Morissey). Blonde's beauty and delicacy taught me how to truly love a person. Lil peep's nihilistic excesses taught me how to forget. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first show! Selling out the university bar and having them all stop and listen to the words and melodies that had sprung from my head was special. Also I met Jools Holland age 9 because I sung on a kids storybook album called the Land of Sometimes Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to fulfil 15 year old me's dream of smashing a Reading and Leeds set like Catfish and the Bottlemen did when I went. I really want to collaborate with some of my heroes too e.g. Damon Albarn, (any from) Odd Future, Sampha, Paul McCartney
