About Bobcat Goldtwait

Scratchy-voiced, goofy, and seemingly always on the edge of a nervous breakdown, Bobcat Goldthwait established himself in the 1980s as an oddball stand-up comic whose humor is both abstractly cerebral and stoner-kid silly. He also brought this manic energy to acting roles in comedies like POLICE ACADEMY and RADIOLAND MURDERS. During his comic heyday, Goldthwait made numerous appearances on the network talk shows, and recorded a few stand-up albums, but eventually turned to directing--most notably the off-beat comedies SHAKES THE CLOWN and SLEEPING DOGS LIE. The actor still makes guest appearances on TV shows and in films, and has more recently turned to directing for television.
