About Black Cats NYC

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Coming from musical families we were exposed to Doo-Wop, Rock-a-Billy, Hard Rock, and Glam as young kids. Watching bands like Bowie, The Stones, T. Rex, & the NY Dolls on TV ignited a passion for music that lasted our entire lives. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, L.A.M.F. (The Lost '77 Mixes) [Special Edition] Pretenders, Pretenders (Expanded Edition) [2006 Remaster] The Stooges, Funhouse (Deluxe Edition) [2005 Remaster] We cut our teeth on these records! Raw, energetic, rock n roll... required listening. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dirty Little Hipster” This was the song that made us realize that we could play with the big boys. The crowd really kicks it up a notch when we play this live, and we feed off them. A gritty tune telling a tale of self-indulgence and excess in the NYC club and bar scene. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being able to hit the stage and connect with the crowd is all we can ask for, and we have been fortunate in that we have a great relationship with our fans. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? A world tour with the Rolling Stones ha! On a serious note we would like to play in Europe with some of the bands we follow and enjoy.
