In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember riding in the car with my parents and my mum would always play 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy. We talked about how her music had only really been discovered posthumously, and that intrigued me. The tragedy and yet the beauty. Bittersweet. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Springsteen, Tunnel of Love Gang of Youths, Go Farther in Lightness The Killers, Pressure Machine The thing these three albums have in common is their raw gut wrenching, honest and vulnerable songwriting. Something that I aspire to do in my own music. Alongside this these albums have a knack for combining incredible lyricism with great music. Tell us why you chose this song. “O Wide World” I wrote this song after losing my twin brother, Dan, to cancer, aged 25. This song is about rediscovering adventure after loss, facing your fears and journeying back out into the big wide world. It's my battle cry of hope and stubborn bravery.
