In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first concert when I was 4 years old was Shania Twain at the Pacific Colosseum in Vancouver, BC. I was inspired by the show and wanted to be an artist and a songwriter when I grew up. Today I get to live that dream and I love what I do. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brad Paisley, Hits Alive Guthrie Trapp, Pick Peace Shania Twain, Come On Over Shania's "Come On Over" album was the first album I listened to from start to finish and obsessed over as a kid. Brad Paisley was my next major influence from a writing and guitar perspective, and I love the sounds and guitar work by Gutherie. Tell us why you chose this song. “Today” This was a surprise track I wrote about my dad and one of my first experiences of flying solo to Nashville, TN to record music. This song has always been something close to my heart as I love family, friends, and life experiences. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've played numerous shows of all different sizes over my career so far. But one highlight was a mother and son who came up to me after a show and she said "my son loves your music and you've inspired him to want to learn to play guitar". Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've played in Canada and the United States so far. But I'd love to go over seas to England, where my mum grew up, and over to Australia to play and visit those parts of the world. And in country music, I strive to play the Grand Ole Opry one day.
